City Face Blackpool For 14th Time In Cov

Saturday will see Coventry City taking on Blackpool for the 14th time in a game played in Coventry.

City have won six of those meetings with three draws and four defeats

City’s biggest win against Blackpool is a 3-1 win which they did in 1923 and in 2007. .

The last time the sides met at the Ricoh Arena was on Tuesday September 27th 2011 in a 2-2 draw. Gareth Taylor Fletcher put Blackpool ahead after seventeen minutes but City levelled through Gary Deegan in the 78th minute. Lukas Jutkiewicz had City ahead in the 82nd minute but in the first minute of stoppage time, a crowd of 12.822 saw Keith Southern score for a share of the points.
