City Down To 13th

Coventry City are down to the thirteenth place in the Championship table after being denied a point by an incompetent referee at Cardiff City.

Wolves still lead the Championship despite being beaten 3-0 at home by Reading and Birmingham only drawing 1-1 at Derby County.

Burnley are up to fourth after a 3-2 home win against Watford. Sheffield Wednesday are fifth following a 1-0 home win against Nottingham Forest and their cross town rivals Sheffield United are sixth after a 2-0 win at Doncaster Rovers.

Other scores saw Bristol City draw 2-2 with Plymouth,Palace beat Charlton 1-0,Swansea won 2-0 at Preston,Ipswich beat Barnsley 3-0,Southamtpn beat Norwich 2-0 and QPR drew 1-1 with Blackpool.

Locally, Southam United from the Midland Combination Premier Division, led Southern League Midland Division Atherstone Town for eight minutes through an 7th minute Graham goal in an FA Cup replay. Adders equalised through Greenway,three minutes before time and scored twice through a Storer penalty and another Greenway goal to set up a meeting with Chasetown in the next round.

Nuneaton Town had no such luck, losing 2-1 at home to Evesham United in another FA Cup Replay. Levi Ramsey scored Boro's goal.

Stratford Town are through to the third round of the Birmingham Senior Cup after two goals from Kevin Brookes gave them a 2-0 home win over Causeway United.

In the Midland Alliance, Racing Club Warwick lost 3-0 at home to Market Drayton who now lead Coventry Sphinx by four points.

Craig (Bluey) Martin,Atkins and PJ Gordon scored for Coventry Copsewood in a 3-0 Midland Combination Premier Division win against Bolehall Swifts whilst Nuneaton Griff drew 0-0 at Pilkington.

In the Birmingham Midweek Challenge Cup, Massey Ferguson beat Bustleholme 3-1.
