City Councillor Keeps Arena Station Plan On Track

Councillor Ann Lucas has announced plans to highlight the need for a train station at the Arena. Ann, is going on a train journey on Friday from Coventry Station to Nuneaton (£2.40 return) and would like two dozen people to join her on the train as it passes the Ricoh.

The journey will take an hour and a half and leaves Coventry Station at 1.06pm. If people would like to show their support but can't make it to the train station or don't have an hour and a half to spare then they can go to the Ricoh by the Bobby Gould wall, turnstiles T12-13 and wave at the people on the train as they pass.

The aim is to show how silly it is that the Ricoh is not served by a train station. This is not just about football fans but about workers, shoppers etc... who would like to go to the Arena site on the hourly service that is already provided but can't as it just sails by without stopping.
