Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has praised Cov Kid James Maddison for his performance in the second half of City's 3-1 defeat to Bristol City on Saturday.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, the City boss said about James Maddison: "When you’re not winning games and you get in the team you’ve got to grab the jersey.

“We again gave ourselves a real mountain to climb but in the second half the system worked to good effect. James linked the play extremely well, dropping into the hole and allowing the angled runs from Shaun and Simeon Jackson, and ultimately the goal came from that.

“James’s 45 minutes were terrific but we can’t become reliant on a 17-year-old – too many of the players need to step up to the mark.”
