Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has praised James McPake and Elliott Ward for their performance in the 1-0 win at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

McPake, who has missed so much football due to various injuries, since signing from Livingston eleven months ago, had only played one reserve game nearly a month ago in his latest comeback but lasted seventy minutes on Saturday.

Speaking to the CT, Chris Coleman said: "I knew James wouldn't last ninety minutes and I thought it would be 45 for James and 45 for Elliott Ward because both haven't played for a while but he played seventy and did great leading the team very well.

"Elliott came on and did a great job for us as well it has to be said. So fair play to both players, they shared the work load."
