Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he has no regrets over his one game touchline ban and a £1,000 fine which he received after making comments to the referee during the draw at Chesterfield on Monday.

Supporters of both sides questioned some of the decisions of Mr Tierney and when Mowbray did the same, he was sent to the stands by the referee with eleven minutes of the match left.

Mowbray remains defiant that he was right to question the decisions of the referee and told the Coventry Telegraph at this mornng's press conference about the ban and fine: I think it’s a standard thing now.

"I don’t think it was worth appealing because authorities generally back authority. I was a bit disappointed with his report which was a bit exaggerated.

“I don’t have any regrets. As I said to the authorities I think he mis-read the game."
