City Boss Invited To Attend Memorial Matches

Last updated : 15 August 2010 By Robbie Watson

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd, it is hoped will be in attendance at a Memorial Charity Day at Coventry Sphinx FC on Friday September 3rd.

The Neil Morris Memorial Charity Day will see two football matches. The first will see a Coventry Pressworks team play for the Neil Morris Cup.

Neil worked with us but was sadly killed at work and we have run this event since then and over the last eight years, have raised over £20k for charity.

The second game this year is in the memory of Sue Hughes who formed the event some 8 years ago and died suddenly last year aged 37 of a heart attack.

The game in memory of Susan will be between her friends & family against Neil's friends & family.

There will be a disco raffle & auction in the clubhouse and although we dont charge to come in to the event we ask everyone to buy some tickets, to support the event at which we hope to have Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd as the guest of honour for the evening.

Kick Off for the first game is as near to 5 30pm as possible and the second game will follow that. The disco and presentation starts at 7.30pm onwards.
