The highlights of Coventry City's 2-1 win at Lincoln City yesterday are available.
Lincoln City's Danny Cowley said about the game which saw Mark Rhead put the Imps into a first half lead with Jodi Jones and substitute Duckens Nazon scoring in the second half to give the Sky Blues the win: “We played against a very good team, probably the best team we’ve played in the league this season.
“We were pleased at half-time. We didn’t everything we had asked of the players. We played in their half and kept the ball up the pitch. Rheady was tremendous and Greeny [Matt Green] worked well off him. I thought we were good value for our 1-0 lead.
“I’m disappointed with the second half. The plan was to do the same but we didn’t do any of the basics as well as we did in the first half.”
Praise For Jodi Jones
Lincoln City's Danny Cowley was impressed with Jodi Jones performance against the Sky Blues. Unlike one Lincoln fan on Twitter who was threatening to make sure Jones did not play football again, Cowley said to Lincolnshire Live:
“Jodi Jones is the best player in this league. “He’s far better than this level and was a threat all game.
“They then brought on Nazon, who gave them more pace and power. They made a significant impact on the game but we’re a bit disappointed with ourselves and with both goals.”
Stevenage Next For City
