The highlights of Coventry City's 2-0 win at Grimsby Town put the Sky Blues top of League Two are now on You Tube.

Speaking about his goal, Marc McNulty said to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I seen the centre-half taking the free-kick and play it back to the 'keeper. As you do I chased it down, got on the end of it and put it into the net.

"They seemed to lose their head a little about it but from my point of view I didn't see a problem with it. They've taken it and I've managed to get there first.

"There was a moment you wonder if it was going to be disallowed but I'm not bothered with controversary, I'm here to score goals and I'm delighted I could do that today."

City on the anniversary of their formation in 1883, top the league with six points with Mansfield second with four points. followed by Wycombe, Barnet, Morecambe, Swindon and Exeter City.

Chesterfield, Crawley and Cambridge United still have to obtain a point.

Coventry City's next League Two fixture is at home to Newport County on Saturday with kick off at the Ricoh Arena at 3pm.

Amongst the former City players who scored yesterday were; Andy Rose who netted for Motherwell in a 2-1 defeat at St Johnstone, former City loanee David McGoldrick scored for Ipswich in a 2-1 win at Barnsley, former City loanee Dominic Samuel scored for Blackburn in a 3-1 home defeat to Doncaster Rovers, former City youngster Josh Ruffels scored for Oxford in a 3-0 win over Portsmouth and former City loanee Chris Dagnall scored for Crewe in a 1-1 draw at home to Newport County for whom Franck Nouble netted.
