Coventry City and Queens Park Rangers now appear favourties to sign Richard Wood.
The transfer listed Sheffield Wednesday defender has had talks with the Sky Blues about a loan leading to a permanent deal this week.
Queens Park Rangers, managed by Jim Magilton are also reported asbeing interested but sccording to reports, Barnsley and Notts County are out of the running.
