Wait Up! If You Want, Coventry City Former Players Association Will Wait on You in November
The enjoyable event will take place at Millsy’s Cafe Bar & Bistro (20, Earlsdon St., Coventry) on Thursday 12th November 2015.
If you book to join us you will find that your waiter is likely to be a former Coventry City playing star, ably assisted by well known local business woman, CCFPA committee member Sandra Garlick. As an organisation completely independent from CCFC and run entirely by volunteers CCFPA relies on subscriptions from our loyal associate and corporate members and income from advertisers/ sponsors and also from events like this. Funds generated from these sources support all our activities including this website, our members’ magazine and reunion events like Legends Day every March and Golf Day every June. All we do supports links between the club’s former players and their fans and helps us protect and promote the history and heritage of the football club for past, present and future members of the Sky Blue family.
Enjoy a welcome drink, canapés and a three course meal (*menu below) served by your CCFPA waiting staff plus interviews, an auction and raffle and much other entertainment at this fun packed evening. Proceeds from this evening will be for CCFPA funds. As you can see from the photographs past dinners have provided lots of fun and entertainment involving the likes of former players Kirk Stephens, Dave Busst, Peter Hormantschuk and Dave Bennett and one or two surprise guests. CCFPA vice chairman Billy Bell will also be there for your entertainment and as as m/c.
Expect to see some of these former players involved again plus other stars of the past (we will reveal in due course) when they have confirmed they will be waiting on table for your delight and edification.
The cost for the evening’s entertainment which kicks off at 7.30 pm (the meal begins at 8pm) is a very modest £40 per head. As numbers are limited, payment must be made to secure your place; you need to move quickly if you want to take part!
