Coventry City Caretaker Manager Lee Carsley has admitted that he is not shocked by the departure of Mark Robins to Huddersfield Town.

Speaking at the club's weekly press conference, Carsley, who will take charge of the Sky Blues for the next two matches along with Steve Ogrizovic, said to club journalist Kieran Crowley: “I wasn’t shocked by Mark (Robins) leaving at all if I’m honest. I have been in the game long enough to know that this is the game we are in and this is the way football works.

“Like myself, the players saw it coming yesterday so it is important we put it behind us and move on. It shouldn’t affect the players either as players have a strange resilience of just getting on with things.

“It is all about the club and the football, which is the way it should be. At the end of the day, Mark (Robins) did really well when he was here but the club is the most important thing."
