Coventry City youngster Chris Camwell is interesting Stoke City, if various rumours are to be believed.

Camwell has done well for City U18's and played a big part in their winning the U18's League Two Southern Division title as well as putitng in a good shift when he has played for City U23's.

Mark Robins gave Camwell an outing for City's first team in their final game of the season at Scunthorpe United and he did not look out of place.

Stoke City's whose scouts include former City youth team boss Colin Dobson, have watched the former Nicholas Chamberlaine pupil at U18's and U23's level in numerous occasions this and last season, so it is no surprise that he has been the subject of rumours linking him with Premier League clubs.

Camwell has been offered a deal by the Sky Blues, who can only offer League Two football and nowhere near the money he could get elsewhere, but whether he will accept it will be down in part to his agent who is the former Coventry City player Stephen Hunt who now works for Ikontalent.

Bas Sambou was in the same situation a year ago and joined Everton. The striker has prospered in Everton's U23's which won their league and this may prove inspirational to some of City's talented youngsters who wish to play at the highest levels of the game.
