Brown Disappointed By Defeat At Coventry

Port Vale boss Michael Brown was disappointed as his side went down to a 2-1 defeat at Coventry City.

The defeat leaves Port Vale deep in trouble in League One, although they do still have games in hand and speaking to the Stoke Sentinel, Brown said: "It was difficult, right on kick off we lost JJ Hooper. It was five minutes before we came out. That did knock us a little bit and we had to change a few things around.

"Reggie' has only played 45 minutes of a reserve game after being out for five to six weeks. I thought we looked tired and maybe the effort and endeavour the players have shown recently was probably one too many. I am disappointed with that, I thought we could have got a result."
