Former Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd and former City defender Dave Jones appear to be out of the running for the manager's job at Bristol City.

Both had been linked with the job following the news that Keith Millen had left by mutual consent but there are media reports that Bristol City Chairman Steve Lansdown will speak to ex Barnsley manager Mark Robins and St Johnstone boss Derek Innes about taking over the Ashton Gate hot-seat.

Boothroyd has been doing media work including Radio Five Live and Sky Sports since he was sacked as manager of Coventry City back in February and Jones has also done some media work since losing his position at Cardiff City.
