Boothroyd & Clapham's England End With A Defeat

England U20's ended their Toulon Tournament campaign with a defeat.

In the Third/Fourth Play-Off game, England managed by former Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd and coached by new City First and U21 team coach Jamie Clapham faced the USA.

The duo made five changes from the team which beat China 3-1 on Friday and omitted former Coventry City loanee Chuba Akpom.from the side which went a goal down in seven minutes when Hernandez scored from the penalty spot, Only for Hause to equalise for England in the tenth minute.

Chuba Akpom, the player City loaned from Arsenal, came on in the 49th minute.

In the 66th minute, the Americans were given a penalty for a handball which was extremely harsh and Benji Joya scored to send England to another defeat.
