Andy Thorn has the option of selecting midfielder Gael Bigirimana for Saturday's home game against West Ham now he has served his three match ban.

Bigirimana could go straight into the side after David bell picked up a knock during training and is classified as doubtful for Saturday.

Striker Gary McSheffrey has recovered from his injury and has impressed during training, so he could be in the starting line up.

The City boss will have a look at his returning players in a friendly game this afternoon against MK Dons.

Thorn is hoping to be able to select defenders Richard Wood, James McPake and Chris Hussey, all of whom have recovered from their knocks.

Martin Cranie has also recovered from his rib injury, but he may not be quite match fit and if he is in the squad to face the Hammers, he will most likely start on the bench.

Thorn said, “Sheffs is back on it and looking good and it is nice to see a few more bodies back on the training pitch. We’ve got a reserve game against MK Dons today (Tuesday) when Woody and Chris Hussey will get a run out, as well as Gary Deegan who has been disappointed with himself.”
