Big Turn Out For Peter Hill's Funeral

Former Coventry City player, trainer and kit man Peter Hill was given a good send off at his funeral this morning.

The funeral of Hill at Canley Crematorium, was conducted by long standing Coventry City supporter The Revd Canon John Eardley MBE and attended by around three hundred mourners including Steve Ogrizovic, Andy Harvey and John Bloxham on behalf of Coventry City for whom Hill spent nearly fifty years of his eighty three life employed by.

Former players and managers Bobby Gould and John Sillett also attended along with Dean Emerson, Trevor Peake, Lloyd McGrath, Dave Bennett and Marcus Hall, along with more senior former players including Lol Harvey, Mick Kearns, Brian Nicholas, Ken Brown, Ronnie Farmer and Bill Tedds to name but a few as well former Vice Chairman John Clarke and former Chairman Joe Elliott who spoke eloquently about the career of Pete.

The Coventry City Former Players Association, Coventry City Diamond Club, Supporters Consultative Group, Coventry City London Supporters Club, Coventry City Supporters Club Irish Branch, Coventry City South Wales Supporters Club, Coventry City South African Supporters Club and Covsupport News Service were also well represented at the celebration of Peter's life.
