Better If Mifsud Goes - Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman feels it is better than Michael Mifsud leaves City and finds another club.

"It has been really difficult for both parties and I think the quicker it happens for Michael the better for everybody because it is like a cloud hanging over everyone," said Coleman to the CT.

"He wants to move on and we have known that from the summer. A couple of deals have fallen through because unfortunately he couldn't agree his personal terms, but I think Michael needs to move for his sake, and we need to move on also.

"There is speculation every week and I speak to his agent a lot about whether there is anyone coming in for him, and that's got to be messing with Michael's head, so he has got to make a clean break and that has got to be best for both parties."

So far, personal terms have been the stumbling block and with Mifsud on £8k a week, he may have to take a sizeable pay cut in order to get a club for the next couple of seasons.
