Former Coventry City striker Leon Best and loanee Patrick Van Aanholt have spoken about tonights clash between their old and new clubs.

Best has said there will be no love lost, while Van Aanholt says the Sky Blues will  not be pushovers.

Best said he harbours no ill feeling toward the Coventry supporters and is out to score against his old club, he said, “They’re on a good run, they’re not losing many games, and they’re slowly climbing up the table, but there’ll be no love lost, We need to win the game. We’re going into the game to win it, and, hopefully, we’ll have another Cardiff.” (a 5-1 win).

“I’ll definitely be looking to score against them. It gets to that time when you start putting pressure on yourself to score, but as long as I’m making some sort of positive contribution, I’ll be happy with myself. The goals will definitely come. It’s just a matter of time."

“The chances will come, and the goals will come. I just need to keep contributing, and I’ll be in the team. I’ve got a lot of friends in Coventry, and it’ll be good to play against them. I’ll welcome them to my new home with open arms."

Patrick Van Aanholt, who spent four months on loan at Coventry from Chelsea, but is now on loan at Newcastle, said of Coventry City,  “It will be tough,  they are a good side and on a very good run at the moment."

“We will have to be at our best to beat them, and it will take a performance like the one against Cardiff to do so. I was at Coventry from August to December, and then I was back at Chelsea for a month. Now I play against Coventry, and it will be a great game."

“I’m looking forward to it. I had a great experience when I was at Coventry,  it was a good team and a great manager. I was sad to leave, but I’ve moved on, and I’m playing for Newcastle now, and I’m going to try to win. I’ve been enjoying my time at the club."
