Coventry City loanee James Bailey has said that he wants to do the best he can for the Sky Blues.

Bailey who completed a loan back to City for the rest of the season on New Years Eve told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner; "Do you know what, I didn’t even speak to the manager. I was literally there two days, trained once and the next day they were off.

"My agent called me to say the loan deal was on again and that was it really, I was on my way back here.

"I am really pleased to come back and hopefully get back playing and start winning again.

"I had a really enjoyable first three months on loan and I just want to stay fit and do the best I can for Coventry to help them get back up to the Championship.

"We’ve shown promotion form in recent weeks and I definitely think we can do it. That’s one of the reasons why I came back because I thought we have a good chance of getting up.

"I had a few options but I am settled here and the lads have been doing well.

‘‘I have been playing every week as well so it was a no brainer really.

"I could have stayed at Derby but I wouldn’t have played. ‘‘I am 24 years old and not a kid any more.

‘‘I need to be playing and I would never have played at Derby and I am not the sort of person to sit there and pick up my money.

"I’m guessing I am out of the picture at Derby now. ‘‘All I can do is work my hardest and do what I can for myself."
