Coventry City youngster James Maddison feels that August will be a difficult month for the Sky Blues with games against Wigan Athletic and Millwall who were relegated from the Championship.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Maddison said: “It’s a great start at home to a club that has just come down from the Championship. We’ll all be massively up for it, as will the fans.

"August is a difficult month with us playing two teams just coming down but we have to get our heads up, push our chests out and get at them and hopefully make an early statement of intent.

“It will be great to start as we mean to go on and if we get a couple of decent wins against Wigan and Millwall people will all be looking at Coventry, so that’s the aim.”
