According to a report in the Coventry Times, the Isle Of Capri may look to sell the casino at the Arena. The company is making cuts after posting big losses and this will affect the Arena Casino which is seeing as under- performing.

Many supporters going into home matches will have been accosted by Arena staff desperate to get City supporters into the casino and those who have visited the premises at night have commented on the low numbers of clientele.

The weekly paper quotes IOC President Virginia McDowell as saying: "We are currently streamlining our cost structures at Coventry but we have been negatively impacted by recent legislative changes, including an increases in taxes and the implementation of a smoking ban."
