Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has said that sort of defeat is hard to take after his side crashed to the bottom of the League One table with a 5-0 home defeat to Coventry City.
Davis told the Press Association: "It's hard to dress things up and it is always difficult to take that sort of defeat.
"But if you take the goals away there wasn't much between the two teams. They had terrific possession, but we had chances.
"But we made five mistakes and we were punished for them. "I am not sure why they make these mistakes - whether they're nervous or whether it's down to ability.
"When you're four down at half-time it's very difficult to get back into it. We did better in the second half and showed more guts and determination."
