Micky Adams told the club website after the game: "With the amount of changes we made I was reasonably happy. "I think all of the changes were justified and they were all to shake things up.

"None of our strikers have scored in a long while and I'm trying to find the right striking balance. They probably haven't got much confidence at the moment but I've still got faith in them. I was pleased with the way they both played in the first half and I'm pleased we ended the losing run.

"It's always nice to score from set pieces. It was a good delivery and Wardy finished well.

"Confidence is obviously a key. I think the West Brom result knocked the stuffing out of us a little bit but I still maintain that we could have won at West Brom, Luton and against Ipswich. If we'd scored at key moments we wouldn't have had this problem but we didn't and now we have to pick up the pieces.

"We've got players coming back from injury and some younger players who can add vibrancy to our squad."
