The striker who has netted five goals in the last five matches and scored twice in City's 3-2 win at Watford on Tuesday night told the CT: "It is definitely nice to be wanted and I have been thinking that I have scored as many as I scored last year, so they have got to be throwing me something soon.
"So it is just a matter of getting that sorted and out of the way."
Best's current deal runs out on June 30th 2011.
