75th Game Between Arsenal And City

Tomorrow will see the 75th League and Cup game between Arsenal and Coventry City. The Sky Blues have won fourteen and drawn nineteen, scoring 60 goals to Arsenal's 121.

The last time the sides met in a League Cup tie was on November 18th 1997 when an extra time goal from Denis Bergkamp gave Arsenal a 1-0 win.

The last time City play at Arsenal was in the Premier League on September 16 2000 when they went down to a 2-1 defeat.

City have never played at the Emirates Stadium before but famous City wins at Highbury include a Mick Quinn hat-trick in a 3-0 romp on August 14th 1993, Lee Dixon lobbing his own keeper in a 2-1 win for City in 1992 and Dave Bamber firing home on a very wet day in October 1983.

Coventry's heaviest defeat at Arsenal was a 6-1 loss on May 11th 1991.
