The FA did not like the then FA Cup Final hosts running their own club and a seperate company was order to be formed, this transpired into the Crystal Palace FC we know today. The Eagles have won what is now the Championship in 1993-94 and have also won the old Division 2 and Division 3 (South). They moved to Selhurst Park in 1924

ON THE GAME
City midfielder Michael Doyle said: "It's a tough place to go to, Selhurst Park, and we always have good battles down there against Palace so we have got our heads down and got back in the right frame of mind. "It will be an important match for us. Our away form hasn't been the best so we need to go there and take something out of the game. "I'm looking forward to it, especially after picking up the three points against Leeds to put us in the top six so we will definitely be going there looking to get something.

James Scowcroft now playing up front for Palace said: "I hope it is a good game from Palace;s point of view. I know it will be very tough. "Coventry have picked up well and had an ok start to the season and ,knowing the manager as I do,they will be very difficult to play against. "I enjoyed my time at the club and wish them well. I certainly looking forwards to catching up with the lads again."
