After the win over Reading, City supporters will be looking for signs that Peter Reid’s team has turned the corner with a win over Preston North End at Highfield Road.

New signing Adie Williams who joined from Reading yesterday, may be given his debut and could replace Florent Laville.

Stern John is only rated as touch and go after limping off at half-time on Saturday with Gary McSheffrey or Patrick Suffo likely to deputise.

Preston Boss Billy Davies has side ravaged by injury with all of his back four injured as well as keeper Andy Lonergan. But he has a secret weapon in Richard Cresswell. The former Leicester striker has scored in five out his last six games against City.

City thrashed Preston 4-1 in the corresponding fixture last season and have been the Lillywhites on four other occasions.
