After thirteen days break, the Sky Blues are back to Championship action against Ipswich Town at the Arena at 3pm.
With talk of administration and rescue packages doing the rounds, the one way, City can make themselves a more attractive proposition for any potential buyer/investor is by winning matches and moving up the Championship table.
Having played Ipswich once already this season, Sky Blues boss Micky Adams will be well aware of the threat caused by the Tractor Boys who won 2-1 at Highfield Road last season thanks to a Matty Mills own goal.
Michael Doyle will be back in contention after serving his one game ban for picking up five bookings and Adams should be able to field the strongest team from the players he has available. Dele Adebola is expected to be back in the starting line-up after being benched for the 0-0 draw at Cardiff City.
Owen Garvan will not be part of Joe Royle’s team. The 17 year old has chipped a bone in his ankle.
This will be the 71st meeting between the two clubs. City have only won 19 of the contests with twenty draws including last month’s 2-2 draw at Portman Road. Referee is Gary Salisbury from Lancashire.
On Saturday, City U18’s play Milton Keynes at home. Kick off at the Alan Higgs Centre is at 11am.
On Sunday, Coventry City Ladies kick off their Birmingham FA County Cup campaign with a home game against Solihull. Last season, the Sky Blues under the then manager Mark Phillips made it through to the final only to lose to favourites Birmingham City 3-1 in extra time. Kick off at Coventry University Sports Grounds at Westwood Heath is at 1.30pm.
Midland Combination Reserve Division League leaders City Ladies Reserves are also at home playing Long Eaton Villa. The game is also at Westwood Heath and kick off is at 2pm.
