This week needing only a couple of points to be safe the celebrations started early, with Graham Clark (32) and Mark Guest taking them to 70 before a first wicket century stand with Lee Thomason so the visitors to 181 for 2. Guest reached his century off 100 balls and run a ball contributions from Jamie Klapper and James Hunt had the home side struggling to keep control as the visitoes reached 284 off their 50 overs, 4 points and the title already in the bag. Kenilworth themselves needing every point possible to guarantee Premier league survival dug in hard and ground out the draw reaching 132 for 6, James Nason 50 with Aaron taking 4 for 20 before rain intervened after 25 over play. Bablake assured their Premier league status in ending Four Oaks Saints chase for the title by defending 193 to win by 24 runs. Hampton and Solihull and close neighbours Solihull Blossemfield assured that the division1 title will go done to the wire with both facing tough fixtures next week and only 10 points separating them. Whilst Hampton were winning at Pak Shaheen, Solihull Blossemfiled were beating Walsall WMF. Division 2 sees Standard assured of a place in the top 2 after easily beating Solihull Municipal and ending their visitors promotion hopes. Patel 85 staring in a first innings of 250 for 9, before Solihull collapsed to 109 all out chasing. Only Pickwick can now catch Standard being 15 points behind after their own win at home to Aston Unity. Ambleside after dropping 10 points in a winning draw against Old Edwardians can now do no better than second Division 3 is still too close to be certain what will happen. Rowlands Aston or Corley will lift the title with Weoley hill still having a chance to creep into second. This means the fixture on the last day with Rowlands visiting Weoley Hill is particularly critical for both sides. Rowlands 37 run winner on the day over bottom club Offchiurch, saw Corley falter at Sheldon Marlborough getting the worst of the draw and only 8 points. Nothing but a maximum win next week is enough now for Corley to lift the title.
