Warwickshire County Cricket Club ended some sixty three runs behind Nottinghamshire after both sides completed their first innings.
Notts resumed on 397-7 but were soon skittled out for 406 with Chris Woakes taking two wickets and Chris Wright one.
Woakes and Wright were in good form with the bat as well. Woakes top scored with 91 from 177 balls and Chris Wright made 65 from 79 balls before being bowled by Sidle.
Varun Chopra made 33, Jon Trott 23, Rikki Clarke and Jeetan Patal made 24 with 27 extras as Warwicks were all out for 343, some 63 runs behind.
There was time for Notts to score a single run without loss before stumps were drawn.
