Warwickshire County Cricket Club let Durham back into the match on the second day of their County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Warwicks resumed on 299-7 and added thirty before Keith Barker was caught by Collingwood off the bowling of Graham Onions for 45.

His fellow night watchman Chris Woakes hit an unbeaten 52 but at the other end, Onions had Jeetan Patal caught by Smith for five and Chris Wright caught by Collingwood to see Warwicks all out for 345.

The Warwicks attack got straight into the Durham openers. Stoneman lasted seven balls without scoring before he was caught by Tim Ambrose to give Keith Barker a wicket.

Barker took his second wicket in the fourth over, with Durham still not having put a run on the board when Ambrose caught Will Smith.

Dale Benkenstein came in and scored the first five runs of the innings but he too was caught by Ambrose to give Chris Wright a wicket.

Jennings and Stokes had added 33 but Barker picked up his third wicket when he had Jennings caught by Rikki Clarke for seven.

Ten runs later and Durham were in big trouble on 48-5 when Ben Stokes was bowled by Chris Woakes after making 33.

Phil Mustard came in and lasted ten balls without scoring before he was trapped lbw by Woakes.

A spell of rain saw the players off the field and tea taken early but this did not deter Paul Collingwood and Scott Brothwick, who put on 147 for the seventh wicket which came thanks to a catch from Clarke which gave Chris Woakes his third wicket of the innings.

Durham batted on with Scott Brothwick making his highest ever score of 101 before he was caught by Chopra off the bowling of Clarke.

In the final ball of the 74th over, Patal had Onions caught by Ambrose. Play continued past 7pm and in the 78th over. Thorp was run out after making.27 and Durham were all out for 284.

Warwicks closed on 6-0, a lead of 67 runs.
