Warwicks Draw With Notts

Warwickshire County Cricket Club drew with Nottinghamshire in their County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Nottinghamshire resumed on 188-4 and on the final morning, Alex Hales and Chris Read carried on. Hales went on to record a superb unbeaten 155 whilst Read went for 95 from 151 balls stumped by Tim Ambrose.

Franks, White and Adams all went cheaply against a Warwicks side which conceded 49 runs in extras as Notts declared on 356-8, some 168 runs behind Warwicks first inning's total.

Varun Chopra had made 27 of Warwicks 33 runs when he was trapped lbw by Fletcher and eleven runs later, Porterfield went for three, lbw to White.

Jim Troughton and Ian Westwood helped Warwicks past the fifty mark.

They had reached 86 when Jim Troughton was out for 35, so Warwicks declared and the match finished in a draw with Warwicks 22 points clear at the top of the County Championship.
