Tour De France 2017 Route Unveiled This Morning

Last updated : 18 October 2016 By ASO

This Tuesday, we will know the route for the 2017 Tour de France. As of now, there are only two certitudes: an inaugural 13 km time trial to kick off the race in Düsseldorf, and a climactic finish on the Champs-Elysées. Between the two? Mystery! We’ll have to wait until tomorrow at 10:30am UK Time when the entire route will be announced at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. But the 4 000 persons in the Parisian venue won’t be the only ones to watch this event in live. This year, the Tour de France innovates and offers to the fans the possibility to share this unique experience, by watching the livestream on the official Facebook page of the race and on the official website. But not only!

Aired live in French, English and in German for Tour de France fans around the world who can follow this much anticipated moment, the ceremony will also be carried live to the four corners of the planet on TV (in 71 countries), in France, Belgium, China, Norway or even in Australia. The ceremony will also be streamed live on internet, available everywhere in the world.

With this new experience, the Tour de France is doing another step forward to the diversification of its digital offer. A good news for its 6 millions of fans on the social networks, who are showing more and more passion for the Tour every year with for example 56 millions of videos seen during the Tour on digital platforms.
