Thirteen wickets fell on the opening day of the County Championship game between Warwickshire and Worcestershire at Edgbaston.

Worcestershire batted first and had Phil Hughes make 135 from 207 balls and Vic Solanki hitting 57 whilst Jeetan Patel in his last game before international duty, took 4-72.

The visitors were skittled out in 75 overs for 246 and when Warwickshire batted, they lost Chopra and Westwood without scoring and Porterfield for five as they closed on 19-3.
