Ten For Trott As England Struggle

Warwickshire's Jon Trott made ten and Ian Bell finished unbeaten on fourteen as England struggled on the fourth day of the first test with South Africa at The Oval.

The Tourists finally declared on 637-2 with Hashim Amla making an absolutely brilliant 331 not out with Jack Khallis making an unbeaten 182 after Graeme Smith was bowled yesterday by Tim Bresnan for 131.

England had Cook caught without scoring, Trott out for ten, Pietersen caught for sixteen and Strauss caught for 27 as they closed on 102-4.
