So What's The Tour De France Prize Money?

This year a total of just under £2million (€2,295,850) worth of prize money is available in the Tour De France.

The winner will receive €500,000 (£426,500), which is up €50,000 on last year. Second place receives €200,000 and third gets €100,000 with money paid up to 160th place. Those who finish 20th to 160th get  €1,000 each.

Points Jersey -  €25,000

King Of The Mountains -  €25,000

Young Rider -  €20,000.

Daily Prizes

Wearer of the Yellow Jersey - €500 Other Jersey's €300 

The top three riders home on each stage receive €11,000, €5,500 and €2,800, with money paid out to 20th position (€300).

The Souvenir Jacques Goddet is a €5,000 prize given to the first rider to the top of the Col du Tourmalet on stage eight.

The first rider to the top of the port d’Envalira on stage 10 will get the €5,000 Souvenir Henri Desgrange, and the fastest ascent of the cote de Domancy on stage 18 gets the €5,000 Prix Bernard Hinault.

Combativity - €2,000 per day (excluding time trials and the final stage). The overall ‘super combativity’ prize winner will pick up €20,000.
