Nairo Quintana of Movistar has won the Tour de Romandie.

The Colombian went into the final stage with a nineteen second lead on the final 172km stage from Ollon to Geneva.

Ten riders including stage four winner Chris Froome got away with Michael Albasini and Carlos Verona (Etixx-QuickStep) deciding to leave the break with fifteen kilometres left and strike out on their own.

Wilco Kelderman (LottoNL-Jumbo) and Andrey Amador (Movistar) joined them and they had a lead of 32 seconds going into the final kilometre.

BMC’s Tom Bohli joined them with 600 metres to go but Michael Albasini attacked with 400 metres left and the Orica GreenEdge rider took the win ahead of Amador, Kelderman, Bonifazio and Hofland.

Race leader Nairo Quintana finished safely and he took the win overall.
