Porterfield Hits Ninety For Warwicks

Will Porterfield hit ninety for Warwickshire on the opening day of their County Championship game at Durham.

Sent into bat when play started at 1.45pm, Warwicks had put on forty one when Varun Chopra was bowled by Hastings for 21.

Westwood and Porterfield came together and made 58 before Westwood was caught by Muchall to give Collingwood a wicket.

Porterfield went on to pass the fifty mark and the Irishman and Jon Trott put together a stand of 131 before Porterfield was out, caught behind by Mustard after making ninety.

Trott went on to make 76 but was caught by Muchall to give Hastings a second wicket which was followed by a third when Chris Wright went for four.

At stumps, Warwicks were 256/5.
