Dayer Quintana Wins Tour De San Luis

Movistar's Dayer Quintana has won the tenth Tour De San Luis in Argentina.

The final stage was a 119.5km stage that started and finished in San Luis and Dayer Quintana nursing a twenty second lead.

Eduardo Sepulveda, who lost the race lead on stage six, took the first KOM climb ahead of Acevedo and Villalobos, which gave the Fortuneo Vital Concept rider the KOM jersey, before Emmanuel Guevara (San Luis) Juan I.Curuchet (Argentina) Robin Carpenter (Holowesko) Mauricio Muller (SEP San Juan) and Elías Tello (Chile) were able to take a lead of forty seconds with their break.

The lead of the five never got beyond a minute but they were still thirty seconds clear with fifteen kilometres remaining.

Their lead lasted for another seven more kilometres and the peloton, eager to get their sprint trains into formation, caught them and headed for the finish line.

Elia Viviani and Italian national team rider Jakub Mareczko contested the sprint and after a photo finish, the decision was given to give Mareczko the stage win with Dayer Quintana of Movistar finishing safely to win the race overall.
