Cyclingnews.com are reporting that Sir Bradley Wiggins will not now be defending his British National Time Trial title next week.

Wiggins has not been named in the official list by British Cycling of those due to ride the time trial in the British National Championships which take place at Cadwell Park on Thursday June 25th.

However, according to Cycling Weekly, Wiggins coach Heiko Salzwedel, who was a coach for Wiggins when he smashed the World Hour record, has said: “Until then [the British Championships], he’s [training] on his own.

“He’s going to go for the time trial there, and after that, we go to Livigno for an altitude training camp.”

However, Wiggins’ agent Julian Henry confirmed to Cyclingnews that the 'World Hour Record holder was not set to race at the national championships in Cadwell Park.'
