Super Bradley Wiggins struck goldl when he won the mens London 2012 Olympic Games Mens Time Trial this afternoon and there was a bronze for Chris Froome.

The 37 riders, representing 28 countries, went off at ninety second intervals, on a 44km flatish course with a few kicks that started and finished in Hampton Court Palace.

Spain's Luis Leon Sanchez lost thirty seconds at the start when he came down the ramp and his chain snapped.

Chris Froome (Pictured below) had already gone down the ramp when Bradley Wiggins made his way through a wall of noise at 3.07pm.

Venezuelan Gil Martinez set the fastest time of 57.05 after Lashsani of Morocco had been the first man to finish in a time of 57.25.24.

Chris Froome was the fastest at the 18.4km checkpoint, with a time of 23.48, whilst Sanchez picked up a puncture. However, World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin was faster by twelve seconds and Wiggins came in another eleven seconds quicker than that.
