Westwood Hits A Century

Ian Westwood hit an unbeaten 121 as Warwickshire County Cricket Club declared for 263-4 on the opening day of their two game friendly with Worcestershire at Edgbaston.

Warwicks batted first and made 49 before Varun Chopra was bowled by CJ Russell for thirty.

Ten runs later and Ateeq Javid was out for four, trapped lbw by Barnard who then had Laurie Evans caught by Clarke without scoring.

Ian Westwood and Sam Hain came to the crease and put on 188 before Hain was out for 94 when he was bowled by Russell.

Westwood had battled well passing the century mark and was unbeaten on 121 when Warwicks declared after sixty four overs.

When the players went off for bad light, Worcestershire were 31-1 with Mitchell out for one after being trapped lbw by Keith Barker.
