Coventry Blaze Coach Chuck Weber has said that his side have embraced the changes he has made to the team.

The Blaze beat Belfast twice over the weekend and now face Cardiff Devils at the Sky Dome tonight in a Challenge Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg.

Weber said to the Blaze website: "We have played them so many times we know each other well so it will be a case of whoever plays their system, executes better and outworks their opponent.

"We have proved we are capable of coming back like we did in Braehead and Cardiff are capable of scoring goals in bunches as we saw when we last played them. It is going to be a tough series because Cardiff are a fantastic side.

"The big thing I have stressed since I have been here is discipline. If you are going to take a penalty make it a good one, whether it is protecting a team-mate or denying your opponent a goal. Don't make it a lazy one and a lot of that comes down to conditioning.

"We do a lot of battle drills on protecting the puck and winning the puck battles and then at the end they have a bag skate. If you practice at a high level then it makes the games seem easy. That's the mindset is north America where the practices are so hard.

"It is about pushing guys out of their comfort zone so they feel exhaustion, they feel sick, because then the games will be a lot easier. The guys are buying into it and they deserve great credit because they have embraced the changes."
