Olton and West Warwicks made the premier division a 3 horse race when hosts Bedworth could not chase down 180 at Miners Welfare Park this weekend. Asif Ali was the pick of the Olton batting with 65 as wickets fell regularly , Will Rigg 32 making a contribution at the end, and Lewis Noon 4 for 50 with the ball. £ of the Bedworth top 5 reached 20 but none of them went on and 90 for 4 became 98 for 7 in the decisive phase of the game. Jamie Hawkins taking 3 quick wickets for 13 in his 4 overs and whilst Lewis Peacock provided spirited resistance he ran out of partners as Bedworth closed 133 all out. olton further celebrated when Nuneaton who all season have been neck and neck with their local rivals wnet down at Highway. Nuneaton collapsed to 108 all out and gained only a single point for the 3 wickets they took during a highway reply in which Steve Ashby top scored with 51.
Last night a score of 172 looked like topping the batting for the WCL this week until a later addition of 181 by Steve Mockler for Moseley 4th took that position
