No real change at the top of a WCL premier league which has 4 teams chasing the title. Olton and West Warwicks defeated bottom club Kenilworth, Handsworth defeated Nuneaton, and Bedworth defeated Four Oaks Saints. The other club in the top 4 Marston Green had a scare scoring only 125 at their home ground; usually a high scoring venue; Matt Ewer 3 for 36 and Owen Edwards 3 for 24 the main wicket takers. In reply Henry Wilkins made 62 opening but receive little support as wickets tumbled to Mohammed Ejaz Nawaz (5 for 34). The visitors reached 99 for 5 , but the last 5 fell for 23 leaving them 3 short. The big score of the day came at Ambleside who notched up 305 for 7, Sam Neale 95 in their draw with Solihull Municipal. Division 1 sees 2 clubs who have been in decline in past seasons Coleshill and Studley making a come back chasing Knowle Village with just 6 points covering the 3 clubs, all won yesterday. Division 2 sees Lyndworth and Aston heading Old Eds and division3 has Moeley Ashfield again making a come back as a club being the first club to 200 points and 40 ahead of the pack Division 4 remains our closest division with Bedworth and Nuneaton second teams heading Oakfiled firsts , Marston Green 2nds and Aston Unity firsts. Here Oakfiled and Aston Unity met on Saturday with unity winning a close game by 17 runs. Nuneaton benefited winning to go second in the table against Handsworth, whilst Bedworth could only hang on for a draw against Olton and West Warwicks; a high scoring game in which both clubs obtained good points totals Best Performances
