Warwicks Seconds Set Big Target

Warwickshire Second Eleven were bowled out for 139 and then set a big target on the second day of their match with Leicestershire at Moseley.

Leicestershire resumed on 415-4 and lost Burgess for 65 and Redfern for 132 from 163 balls before declaring on 483-6.

Warwicks were in trouble straight away losing openers Will Porterfield and Ian Westwood without a run being scored.

Ateeq Javid went for eight before Freddie Coleman went for two and Sam Hain who top scored with thirty was out caught by Burgess.

Tom Milnes added twelve, Webb 24, Banton 15, Adair five and Oliver Hannon-Dalby one as Warwicks were skittled out for 139, some 344 runs behind.

Leicestershire did not enforce the follow on and lost Marshall for 2 and Pinner for a golden duck to give Hannon-Dalby a wicket.

Phagura, who took Marshall's wicket took a second when he had Ali who had made ten caught by Adair, whilst at the other end, Kurtz hit a half century from 66 balls.

Josh Poyseden had Redfern trapped lbw for four amd with the score on 101, Poyseden had Burgess out for eleven, Kurtz run out by Westwood for 63 and Kent out for a golden duck.

Five runs later, Chappell went for three and Poyseden took his third wicket when he had Corbett caught by Westwood before Leicestershire declared on 134 for 9 leaving Warwicks 478 to win.
