Warwickshire County Cricket Club were beaten by Worcestershire by five wickets

In their final pre-season game, Warwicks took on Worcestershire at Edgbaston and batted first.

Warwicks lost Jon Trott for seven and Ian Bell for 23 bowled by Bernard, but Sam Hain made an unbeaten 78 from 124 balls with Laurie Evans making 65 before retiring hurt and Ateeq Javid chipping in with 24 not out as Warwicks completed their fifty overs on 200-2.

Worcestershire batted but had their opener Kohler-Cadmore out for a duck after being bowled by Chris Wright after facing only four balls.

Wright then bowled Clarke, who was yet to score, in the fifth over but the visitors recovered putting on 112 before D'Oliveira was trapped lbw by Poysden after making sixty.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby caught Whiteley after he had made fifteen for the fourth wicket and a fifth wicket followed on 166 when Cox was bowled by Poysden for thirteen.

However, at the other end, Kervezee was finding runs with the bat and his unbeaten 72 coupled with 26 not from Mitchell helped Worcestershire to a five wicket win
