Kristjan Jurasek was pleased to have taken his first World Tour win when he sneaked away to take victory on the second stage of the Tour De Suisse.
Jurasek told his Lampre-Merida team's press office: "It 's my first win in a World Tour race.
"I am very satisfied and proud because I continue in the best way in a season that has already given me the joy of victory in the Tour of Turkey.
"I'm also happy to have finished off a good race, which Lampre-Merida ran perfectly.
"Pibernik went strong and his presence allowed us to be covered in the group and so we could focus on the approach to the Michaelskreutz climb on a narrow road and then to start to get to the front of the lead group.
"My legs responded well when they needed to and there were nine runners in the lead and in the end, knowing they will not be as fast, I tried a few attacks with the last one being successfulI and I had the energy to win. "
